Note: For the BLEM Castle Blast Shield option, the blemishes are small scratches on the inside of  the blast shield. They are from removing supports during the annodizing process, they are not a used item.

Breek Arms offers a low cost option to competitive muzzle brake designs used for increasing muzzle control as well as adding a custom design to your platform. The combination of ports and holes helps disperse gases up, left and right to reduce the level of muzzle climb and felt recoil. Also, the included outside thread allows you to quickly detach your own blast shield or suppressor.

    Non-standard size causes fitment issues.

Posted by Bobby Woody on Dec 2nd 2019

The size of the tightening faces of the brake (where you put your wrench) is 18mm (11/16th) in diameter. It is just slightly smaller than the standard muzzle brake slot in an ar-15 armorers wrench and resulted in damage to the brake when the bolt faces rounded off. Good luck finding an 18mm wrench narrow enough to use on this brake... I had to modify (grind and file) a 17mm wrench to custom fit the brake for future use. The brake would be 5 stars otherwise.

    Breek Arms Comment:
We are sorry to hear about this, we have chosen to go with as lightweight of a brake as possible so we shaved off some weight at that point. Generally an adjustable wrench (and even a standard armorers wrench) is used to tighten these muzzle brakes down without issue. If a thinner profile wrench is needed, there are several good options available including this thin profile adjustable wrench from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N52WJRT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1
